Intel Pocket PC 640x480 digital camera - sample pix

This Intel Pocket PC digital camera is perhaps best considered as a good USB tethered PC/Webcam that conveniently can go *walkabout* as well. It has an esteemed CCD (Charge Coupled Device) image sensor & holds ~120 640x480 pix in internal non volatile 8MB Flash RAM. Battery life - 4 AAAs- is great, perhaps thanks to no power hogging LCD screen,+ the unit can run entirely from USB too. Superb close up when USB tethered & on supplied nifty stand. Fixed focus when free, that seems "portrait" optimised @ 2m or so, & lighting should be even. Comes with full software (allowing video clips, security motion & time lapse pix too), plus cables & case etc. BUT WAIT... there's more ! After 2 years of testing the computer imaging market, Intel has recently quit (for core business !?) & the camera now sells for just ~US$50 via Ebay etc. Bargain !... hours of FREE fun for kids + suit simple webpages/email attachments etc----- click on a thumbnail image to see the full sized 640x480 image ------
